Monster Hunter fan playing GE for the first time

This is FUN! As someone who has never played a God Eater game and only played MHW it is a breath of fresh air. I love how fast the combat is and how flashy all the moves are. It really takes the genre and changes it a bunch to make it more unique than something like MHW or Dauntless (which is why i'm so confused as to why people try to say one is better than the other). I'm having a ton of fun with it so far and I can totally see myself playing this during MHW droughts and stuff. No crashes and solid 60fps so far!

same im a veteran MH player and i really didn't expect that kind of action i pretty like it so far the only thing now i would be happy is only that would be available to the switch to play that game on the go i would be very happy

I disliked previous two games for gameplay.
But the third one? The third one is the ♥♥♥♥.

vita seems to b dead? so SWITCH might b a possibility i think they're thinking about it and i just wish they're workin on it.

MHW is for casuals
MH series is better than WORLD coz its not casualize
GE series lacks difficulty, but there are difficult missions its fun clearing all mission
MH series has difficulty, coz of its stupid oversize hitboxes lol

i've played hundreds of hrs on these games except for World i was disgusted on what they've done to it XD

Just a slight recommendation, If you want an Open World Setting in Japan Mythology with the same Monster Hunter Genre, there is the Toukiden Series

how would u guys rank hunting games u played? which gave u best experience?

1: God Eater because I grew up with that especially on the PsP playing with Friends at School and with Cousins. Also The Combat is just better with interesting Story and good Challenges.

2: Monster Hunter Series as I did grew up with that in its Early Days

3: Toukiden Series while the Optimization is odd its still interesting in Japan Settings.

There are other Monster Hunter Genre though they are mostly on PsP and PsV.



OO I 4got Dragons Dogma is counted as the Monster Hunter Genre so check that one out. Has the BEST PC Port Optimization than even a Crappy PC can run it well.

Those 2 are never design for Casual especially back at FFXIV... God I hate how people cant learn how to Run behind Meteor back at Crystal Tower 1 ';...;'

Monster Hunter World <- to summarize this disaster shortly, a very small amount of monsters, casual gameplay with many things made pointless, added tons of other pointless crap like investigations or bounties, events are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, they are just same missions for higer drop rates, almost no special collaboration made armors and weapons, very shor after 100 hours done all missions have 2 sets of maxed armor and maxed one weapon, in old games you would not have that even after 300+ hours.

pretty good list. I didn't like Toukiden though and your reasons for MHW are the exact reason I didn't buy it after I played the demo. sure it was a demo, but I've never been particularly good at MH and it felt too damn easy even for me. not to mention the visuals left me squinting most of the time with how bright everything was.
