Playstation buttons not appearing!

Hey to keep it short im using a PS4 controller same one i used for God Eater 2 and i had the same issue there. In God Eater 2 I managed to fix it somehow but i dont remember what i did. I didnt use 3rd party programs or anything just somehow fixed it through the steam options or big picture mode or something. Now im trying to fix it here but no matter what i try it keeps showing me x-box button prompts. Im missing something. If you have the same issue or have an idea on how to fix it please help!

Seems to work fine for me, i just plugged my DS4 in and steam picked it up just fine as a controller and shows me the playstation prompts, make sure you disable any 3rd party software for it as the controller is natively supported in steam

like i said im not using any 3rd party software or annything like that and it is natively supported cuz like i said i did manage to make it work and make the buttons appear with god eater 2

Also i managed to fix it and its stupid, i had to uncheck playstation configuration support in the controller settings in big picture mode. like wtf. i would have thought that would be the opposite but nope, that was the issue wanting playstaition configuration support wow

how do you get them to pop up I'm only getting XBOX inputs and not PS4 even though the light bar is red and I'm sure I can adjust that somehow

How are you all doing this...?
I can only make it show Xbox prompts. If i uncheck PS4 configuration my controller will only work with the Steam overlay and not the game. :(

I think the option makes the DS4 emulate the XInput mode which for microsoft controllers so the game can no longer notice it's a DS4 controller through the input device.

I've tried that, all that does for me is stop making the controller work in game. (But not the overlay)
And yes i've tried restarting many times, forcing Steam controller input off, un checking ps4 config, turning Bluetooth on and off, re pairing my DS4 and restarting Steam to no avail. :(

Ok fixed my issue, decided to disable my Bluetooth then used usb instead and got ps prompts. >.>;
Should of just tried wired sooner lol

It's because it was emulating an Xbox controller which is why it makes the dualshock work with games that dont support the DS4
