personaly i think it's a waste of money for the publisher since now even with denuvo most games get cracked in about a week from release but they still insist in using it
who gives a damm i jsut want the game to have fun.. not care for this denuvo crap.
i played games with denvo games before and my pc been fine with it.
That's true, developers/publishers have to issue a patch removing denuvo. But it's an eventuality far into the future. It should be trivial though, as long as the publisher is still in business.
Near and immediate future, people will suffer a tiny performance degradtion if they are using within the install limits for their personal PC. For commerical exploitation in shady internet cafe who uses just a few licenses, they suffer more due installation limits.... The most notable of this happening is in the monster hunter world PC steam forum. Since a lot of people plays it and strange issues related to using internet cafes are discovered after probing said reluctant gamers for PC setup.
Being digital (not denuvo related) is already bad for consumers, you can't loan it out easily or re-sell them. Basically you are buying stuff that has zero resale value. (Sure you can sell your steam account but it's against ToS and eventually be banned. Then it's a liability for the buyer and you pray that the buyer don't find you for a "refund"). Even my ancient but pretty looking mug for drinking can fetch me a few bucks if I sell it. Heh. Even oldcardboard boxes can be sold for a few cents to a recycler :)
Doesn't Steam show on the games store-page if it has Denuvo as a Third Party DRM?
I don't see anthing like that for GE3 so it probably doesn't use it, you should probly still wait until a few days after Release to be sure (which also has the advatage that you'll know if the port has different issues again, BNE is not exactly known for great PC-Versions after all).
Didn't seem to be the case with ToV.
I was surprised too, but since the few games ago BNE seems to have noticed their DRM policy caused them more trouble than what it's worth (which according to a EU-study is a negative number anyway).
Do I care? Nope. Doesn’t impact my performance and I’m not changing my hardware every other day where it would be an issue.
No. Denuvo will never go out of business. Most PC gamers simply do not care about it to make a difference.
