perfect guard for the devour attack
ok, this might sound stupid but, I can easily perfect guard any type of attack, however it's a different story for the devour attack
I know there are other ways to get away from the devour, but many times perfect guard is the best option

my question here, what's the best way to train for perfect guard the devour attack? only the devour attack, I hate going to a mission just to train that, if ever I went to a mission I will just finish it, plus the devour isn't a regular attack so it will take too long for one :steamsad:

anyway, anyone could help? know the best mission/way for that?

There's nothing special about the timing of Just Guarding a devour compared to any other attack, it's just a matter of practice and not getting psyched out. The easiest way to learn is by doing, so try just standing still and guarding incoming attacks while the NPCs do the fighting. The G>>Performer and P>>Performer accel triggers are perfect for this, since they grant a free taunting scent effect, so attacks will keep coming your way even though you aren't doing anything. You should also remember that you can JG while diving, and some attacks are much easier to deal with this way, like slow moving projectiles and Dromi's devour.

If you're really bad at it, you could also just avoid them entirely. To me, only Nuadha's devour is easier to JG than to just avoid, although Dromi's can get awkward if he runs against a wall.

I am not sure now, but ash aragami used to devour 3-4 times if they failed.

Check this out, this is the fastest way to learn without going into missions or train like you said.

thanks :)
well, avoiding the devour attack isn't that hard with the practice, but just like I said, sometimes JG is the only option, sometimes u r just in a narrow space that u can't do anything except JG or dive, thing is 99% dive won't block the devour attack for me.
JG timing isn't the problem, well, at least for the regular attack . yes, I need more training, but that devour has something odd, not sure how to tell that, but it doesn't work when I wanted to work, it just sometimes does work while I'm 100% that wasn't a perfect, like for example some devour attack require me being in distance so the JG work, and at that point I'm just not sure if it's the limit of the devour or the JG works, I mean I'm sure distance has nothing to do at all :Kota:

hmm, about what it really needs JG, well, RA is the most easiest one" yes, even the Galactic or Amen Ra, all is easy xD " RA doesn't needs anything just go under/behind him , Dromi require u making him goes in circle" this actually work on Anubis as well, but for Dromi u will see him going around for more while Anubis will only take one circle or less "
so which one of them needs JG? it's gotta be Anubis, sometimes Balmung, Also Nuadha

anyway, thanks for the help and suggestion :Shio1:
but hmm, it's still will take long for one devour attack, and then it just may attack one of the NPCs instead of me, as I said, I need to know how to perfect guard the devour attack only, I mean for the regular attack the training will be always on the battlefield, every mission is actually a training :Soma1:

thanks again, lul
I watched this before, but guess I will be rewatching it again and again :)
yup, they will try to devour again if they fail (if I just want to train then I have to stand in there waiting for them and that's good for the training ) but in a mission u will get enough time to knock it down
