exact timeline of the game

hello everyone as a biggest fans of GE series i have a question, long ago i was finished GE2RB back then, and the question is, what's exact years gap between GE2RB and GE3? thank you

and the second one, is that possible we can meet our old comrade (in GER/GE2RB such as canon, alisa, ciel, kigurumi, lindow, sakuya, etc.) via DLC/free updates in the future? i really miss my old comrade thanks for the answer

Hello! The events of God Eater 3 take place approx 6 years after God Eater 2. As for the answer to your 2nd question, I don't want to spoil it directly for you or others but take a look at the opening trailer/cinematic you might recognize an old "comrade" there... Also, there could be story stuff that may come later on in the form of updates or dlc, but I'm not aware of anything concrete yet.

afaik for old comrade, its just soma himself, not the other one like alisa, ciel, kigurumi, livie, etc. btw thanks for the answer :D

GE1 takes place in 2071. GE2 takes place 3 years later in 2074. Resonant Ops takes place in 2078. GE3 doesn't have a specific date, but states the ashlands first appeared in the early 2080s, when Hugo and the protagonist were children. Hugo is 20 as of the events of the game, and even if we're generous and assume he's 11-12 during the opening cutscene, that still places the events of the game whole decades after GE2.

Like Drifting said, we don't have a specific date. We know the Ashlands first appeared in 2080. After that we can only speculate. We know that Hugo is 20 at the start of the game. In the opening we see him as a child. So...

If we assume AGEs were developed soon after the Ashlands appeared,
And we assume Hugo was about 10 or 11 when he became an AGE,
AND we assume Hugo was among the first AGEs...

That would put GE3 at around 2090.

Of course, it could be later. Maybe even later than 2100. We just don't know (yet). The one thing that might help keep the date from going too far is "Ein", who we know was a first generation God Eater. Given that he doesn't look all that old (late 30s? maybe 40s?), I would put GE3 in that 2090-2100 range. But it is possible "Ein" ages slower than normal people, which could mean a later date.

Between that and Ein's comments about returning to the far east, it makes me wonder about the people who want to see the old cast again, because even a generously short time skip to 2090 would put the majority of the old cast in their mid to late 30s. Some characters like Gina, Haru, and Lindow would be in their 40s, and even the youngest god eater in 2, Erina, would be 30+ years old as of 3. Even back in GE2 Haru was getting nudges to retire at 28, saying most god eaters don't serve that long.

It's worth noting that Abraham Gadolin(56 in GE3) is playable in resonant ops. He's a bit less gray and didn't have a peg leg at the time, but is still described as the oldest god eater on active duty. Conveniently though, his exact age at the time isn't listed.
