Worth a buy? Trying to decide.
I gave the demo a go on the switch just to see what its like and it seems a lot better than when I played GERB2, specially the graphics and combat(feels a bit more punchy) but can't decide if its worth it.

Hows the content? Is there a lot to do?

Are there more customisation options than in the demo? (seems quite lacking as far as games like this go)

There's next to no content in the game at the moment, you're far better off just playing MHW or getting MHGU on the Switch.

It have a lot more melee focus, and I like it (the fighting) better than GE2RB
I never played MHW, nor will I. i like the anime style and fast pace, even if the controls can be quite horrible if one been away from it a while.

If you don't mind a bit of grinding it have 100's of hours of playing.

Compared to other GE games, it lacks some content; but gameplay wise is the best one; guns arent as OP so you gotta relay on your melee attacks and movement to win.

MH definitelly have the bigger playerbase and content, I havent played World but MH has always been too slow peaced. Its fun for sure but the characters and military theme on GE always wins over for me.

I'd love the hell out of monster hunter if the online actually worked for me (no matter what i did the online was broken and after all this time still is) singleplayer is alright but sometimes monsters get a bit too long to fight later on and it gets a bit boring when you spend so long on stuff. As for gen ultimate, the online works fine and infact i think i prefer it to world but I stopped at the end of the final village battle before high rank (rank 7 onwards or whatever).

What would you recommend out of rage burst 2 or god eater 3? Out of the demo I really enjoyed the gameplay vs the tiny bit I played of rage burst 2 a few years back which did feel quite aged even a few years back. Graphics are never a big part for me so don't worry about that (but I do like GE3's graphics, just a shame it isn't on the level of code vein considering they are kinda similar)

Also what is exactly missing content wise compared to rage burst 2? I keep hearing on reddit that its got very few things to do, but considering its a monster hunter like game I highly doubt it can be that bad.

Content wise.. GE3 have no 'RB' version, with years of added DLC's shoved into the package, as they still are releasing (free) DLC's for it.

GE3 don't have as much NPC character interaction, as in taking them on certain char specific missions to get them to gain new skills and/or more interaction. Nor do it have any +99 missions for people who really hate themselves and need more punishment.

The GE3 GFX is quite a bit better overall, as GE2RB have a PS2 GFX feel to it.
If you plan to play any of them in co-op, GE3 is more alive, not saying that you will ever be guaranteed even one other random person joining in on the 8 person assault missions, more saying bring a friend for co-op to avoid (total) chaos and selfish behavior.

The story in GE3 and GE2 is ..almost irrelevant but it exists at least.

Monster Hunter players usually don't like God Eater games and vice versa.

Fast pace, anime style, quite fun weapons.. and ..well less focus on 'hunting' monsters, or tracking them etc etc. More focus on the fighting itself.
Wanting more than one +30 weapon? ..and you're in for some grinding.
(And you DO want more than one).

I can't really explain why I like this game, as some of the controls can't be remapped and I still feel an urgent need to change a few.

Check out BK Brent on Youtube and decide for yourself if it seems to be the thing for you.
I haven't seen anyone better at the GE games than him, and he's able to display why it's a good game (in his opinion) by just being insane good and passionate about it.

If you don't like what you see there, you will not enjoy (insanely) high level of play/skill in this game..that I guess can be only come from spending too much time playing this one :happycthulhu:

(Whatever you do, be sure to listen to ALL the voice-lines before selecting a voice, same with face and eyes. they can't be changed, and can be horrible in another light, and sound terrible every other second!)

In GE2RB there's lots of missions, character episodes, lots of different characters you can take on missions, more aragami, lots of different outfits for your character.

In GE3 the gameplay is way better in my opinion, it's more fast paced and enemies are more agressive. I also loved the two new weapons. Sadly these are the only things i liked about this one. The story and most characters are boring and there's lack of side missions and aragami.

I know devs said there won't be a rage burst version to god eater 3 but
I still hope they change their minds and make an expansion to this game.

They never said there will never ever be any paid DLC's, just no RB version :happycthulhu:
So far they have delivered a lot 'for free'

It seems it sold <100k copies on Steam, but it's not fully reliable with the owners after the changes to Steam.

I think I read GE2RB sold more for the PC than for the consoles to their surprise? and that one is still <500k sold.
