Does this game support the Xbox controller?

The title says it all. I have a hard time playing FPS's with M&K, but would like to play with friends who play it on here. None of them knew.

I'm not sure, but I know that the auto aim sometimes makes things wierd, and that there are a couple of programs that convert gamepad actions to mouse movements

yes it does, using it myself, but icons don't change like in borderlands 2, so in menu's etc. it will still display which keyboard key to press instead of joypad buttons.

Back again. Yes it does work.

From the moment I skipped the logos with the a button I knew you could. But get this, it displayed the xbox buttons and not the keyboard.

Also I may have been too hasty about not enjoying using the pad.

Both support the Xbox 360 pad. I play the first Borderlands with an Xbox 360 controller on PC exclusively.

Not only does Borderlands 1 support the Xbox for PC controller, I gotta say it's shooting mechanics are some of the best yet. Aim and shoot feel very natural and the movement is silky smooth. Sniper aiming is easy after 2.3 minutes of practicing. Or you could give up after 37 seconds and go back to keyboard and mouse if ya want. I'm sticking with the controller....it works great!

Yeh this game works flawless with XBOX wired controllers. Movement is nice and smooth with default setup. I find on mouse and keyboard I have to lower sensativity to get that nice smooth panning that you get from the controller. Why on earth did Microsoft ever stop selling wired gamepads. I need a replacement for my older one.

does it have to be an xbox controller? because i am a ps3 player on the side if i need to get a pc gamepad or something then fine but i want to save some money first

You can pull a program offline that will allow you to use a PS3 controller but it will run like an Xbox controller. You map your keys how you want, but your computer thinks its an Xbox controller. Sorry for the vague description, I don't know a lot about it, just that one of my friends uses it.

I own a PS3 and I have DS3 controllers so after getting PES2013 I decided to see if I could play with my DS3 on my PC.

And since I changed the FOV in the game (Borderlands GOTY), I can´t use my mouse.(weird, if anyone has a solution it will be really cool because if you change your FOV in the .cfg you loose your settings in the game and the standard FOV is painful to my eyes)

So, yes there is a plug in to use your DualShock 3 "emulating" the xBox controller which works quite well.

Read instrunctions, you need to install it, plug-in your controller and install the drivers for it.

Also you need to open that program every time you want to use your controller in your PC games.

And final advice play without AIM assists because it sucks.
