360 Controller Not Being Detected?
Is anyone else having difficulty getting Borderlands GOTY to detect the 360 controller? I've updated the drivers and all of my other controller-compatible games control fine with the controller, but this game just doesn't respond to any input at all. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Yes i have the same problem. It appears to be only us as no one else seems to have the same trouble.

I am running XP SP3 and my computer easily matches up to specifications but it still does not work. I am sorry i cant help you either :(

Am rather pissed off, i purchased this game with the intention of using my controller and it doesn't even notice it...

It is not in any way a problem with the game it works just fine with the XBox 360 wired and wireless controllers. Although I have not tried the game with Windows XP because I would never run a 10 year old OS for any reason what so ever the game does run just fine with Windows 7 x64 and Windows 8 x64 on all three of my rigs. I would say to make sure you are running the latest USB controller drivers for your motherboard and that the XBox 360 controller is being detected correctly.

Interestingly enough, I got Borderlands 2 in the sale this weekend and it works fine with a controller.

Right on! :)
This is a thread on the borderlands 1 GOTY edition ;)
I did find a solution for myself, it seems to only detect my gamepad if I power on the controller AFTER the game has been loaded. Its worth mentioning, I think, that my reciever for my controller is a cheaper knock off, not Microsoft brand...
Could be the whole issue ;)

I know, I started it. :) Thanks though, I'll try that next time I install BL1.

Hope it works for you, BL1 is still awesome enough to play while owning BL2 ;)
Maybe see you in game :)

Mine responds to the input, but the game still shows all the keyboard bindings whenever I use it. Also the auto-aim doesn't seem to work at all. Do you guys have that problem?
