Can't unlock achievement "And they'll tell two friends".

Hey there!

I was playing some Borderlands last night and my brother (who has the achievement since old) was gonna help me get it by playing with him.
For some reason, it didn't work when I hosted the game.
We tried having him host the game and I still didn't get the achievement.
Does anyone know the reason why it didn't work?

In case it matters: I used a playthrough 1 character (I had just finished the main story) while he's already 100%'ed the game.

Also, it was in Friends Only games.

It could've been something to do with the retirement of the GameSpy service for multiplayer. They're using Steam now, I believe, so it could be the achievement was tied to how the GameSpy service works. Best bet is to launch a support thread on the Gearbox forums.

i have it and im on now. try joining my game and see if you get it.

Maybe with a new character?

Ok, the achievement just pop up for me. I go yo your profile, torshil profile on steam, and click "join game". When loading just appear. Didnt have to get any character.

Is weird, maybe is the way you go to a game the thing that says if you get the achievement.

@Sardaukar: I apologize for not showing up the first time - I had some errands to run and didn't notice your comment until you had already left!
This time, I (again) had some errands to run in the morning before I even started up my computer!
However, I did attempt to join your game (connection to host lost) BUT I did get the achievement.
So thanks a bunch for the help and I apologize again for the delay!

Just got it by joining a random co-op game ><. I wish i had just done that sooner. Anyone who needs it try that, and if you're still having trouble message me and ill help you get it.
