Borderlands 1 Damage (DPS) Calculator
I've been playing Borderlands for a long time and I was always intrigued with ways to compare different weapons. I have made many attempts to create a spreadsheet based calculator over the years and I finally feel that I have something worth sharing with the community.

Here is a link to my Calculator. In order for it to work you will have to make yourself a copy by going to "File > Make a Copy".

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1n58OPP_pj5dnk7jnoKcLgi-Bx0OKoDxthL5UP7IA3yA/edit?usp=sharing

Cells 6,7,8,11 and 13 are hidden and contain all the algorithms. If you want to try to improve the calculator or just understand it better you can unhide them and try to make sense of what I did there :)

I will greatly appreciate suggestions for improvement - Feedback is the main reason I decided to publish this thing.

Sorry to say, but that link doesn't work. Are you sure it is supposed to have that ... in it?

The only calc you really need is Damage x Fire Rate; then take accuracy into acount as a fudge factor based on your style of gaming and what range you kill things at. There is of course, magainze size too...but meh - mostly that doesn't matter if you have a decent reload speed.

Magazine size, elemental damage and reload speed are very important in DPS calculations. This is basically what my calc does. Damage (modified by skills, mods, proficiancy and elemental modifiers) X Fire Rate (modified by magazine size, reload speed, skills, mods and proficiany)= True DPS

My calculator works on any weapon besides rocket launchers. If anyone has any suggestion on how i can calculate RL damage I would like to hear it.

Honestly RL suck in BL 1.
They've way too less damage to be worth to use.

That problem was fixed in Borderlands 2 since there, launchers have an acceptable base damage in comparison with other weapons.
