so i have a mate that has the achievement but it doesnt give me the achievement when i play with him. is it bugged?

It doesn't always pass on. I'm not sure what the logic of it is, I don't know if it's because it hasn't been passed on in a year (or however long) or if it's because no co-op has been engaged in for a while but whatever the reason it doesn't always work.
