Logitech F510 Controller Help. Front/Back Movement Inverted
So I just got a Logitech F510 for some of my games here on Steam (as well as others from other sites or retail stores). Anyways, I've noticed that some of the bindings on the controller are not as they should be which is understandable as the controller is set up as a PlayStation controller. Now most of these binding mix-ups are minor and completely dealable however one binding is most troublesome and was wondering if anyone knew how to fix it. Now the controller has 2 modes (PlayStation and Xbox) and the only difference from what I can tell is that the D-Pad and Left Analog Stick swap what they're supposed to do. However no matter which mode I'm in, moving foward and moving backwards are inverted and I can't seem to un-invert them. I saw that there was an Invert on/off setting in the GamePad settings in game but turning that on/off doesn't change a thing (I'm pretty sure it's for inverted aiming) so I was wondering if there's anyway to un-invert movement directionality. One last thing though is that Left/Right movement is NOT inverted, only Foward/Backwards movement is inverted.

The two inputs this controller has are called Directinput and Xinput. Directinput is what pc games use to use until xbox set xinput as the new standard. There is a button on the back of the controller. Some games require either direct input, or xinput. Directinput allows you to customize the buttons to do anything even in games that don't support controllers. Basically turns it into a mouse/keyboard. Xinput (from xbox) is the plug & play setting that you don't have to do anything with.

There is a mode button you can press on the front of it (im using f310 both are same cept mines hardwired). This mode button allows you to select between Flight or sports mode.

Flight mode: analog sticks control action and d-pad controls POV (status light is off).

Sports Mode: D-pad controls action and analog sticks control POV (status light is on).
(from the controller manual)

Some games the flight mode & sports mode gets mixed up to where youll have to hit the button to play in one or the other. However most of the games I played so far the status light off was the way to go.

Hope this helps. I always recommend reading the manual when buying a new product it helps =). It will also tell you what each button does & the location.

IF you want to play games that don't support controllers you can switch it to direct input mode and use the logitech software to program the buttons to do whatever you like. (I use this for Diablo 3)

Alright thx I totally forgot about the switch on the back of the controller so I'll try it in Xinput mode first but then if that doesn't work how do I re-map the buttons on the controller? Do I download a program from Logitech's website or what? I bought this controller Pre-Owned so I have no Manual or anything else that would've came with the controller had I bought it new.

Alright looks like putting the conroller in Xinput Mode fixed the problem. Thanks.
