but there is not a silly yellow healthbar. (some even have armoured in their name!)
you just have to know the enemies. most are pretty obvious though. so if you can see flesh burn it. if it has a strong shield zap it. if it looks metalic or carapace etc dissolve it.
enemies of an element (eg burning psychos) are resistant to their element. some to a great extent. corrosive enemies have a weakness to fire and fire a weakness to acid. electric is for shields. explosive is tricky. it kind of isn't strong against anyone but isn't weak either - there are exceptions (can't think of specifics).
a corroding enemy is somewhat weakened - they will take more damage. so if you can start acid procs on them, switch to another gun and smash them. i think explosive is good here.
this is mostly bro science. many hours in the game. but i don't recall the exact details. just wikia if you're unsure.
Thank you so much! You were immensely helpful! All the info I could find was related to BL2, after some trial and error I seem to be getting a hang of it. I was about to sell a pretty good corrosive shotgun for the inventory space, now it's a mainstay until I get a replacement!
or just get the Maliwan Defiler and one-shot them, =D
