General Protection Fault
I've had no problems running borderlands until today for some reason. When I clicked to start the game, the game went back to running in a very low resolution windowed mode and when I got to the main menu and clicked single player the game just froze and then crashed. This was the error message that I recieved:

General Protection fault!

History: GetPluginCount() Address = 0x14eddba (filename not found) [in D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Borderlands\Binaries\Borderlands.exe]

I've already done a google search and gone through guides where people have said to copy a cudart file and change the name to phsyxcudart_20 in the files. This didn't work for me though.

I've also ran a verify scan on the game and ran as admin, still no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try the post at the bottom of this page. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/532451/borderlands-physxcudart_20-dll-missing-/

If that doesn't help, you could look for an older version of the physxcudart_20.dll. I got mine out of an old driver way back and kept it on my backup drive. The digital signature says June 4, 2008.

Thanks, I tried this and it still doesn't work though. I seem to have done everything by this point. Even uninstalled everything and still doesn't work. At this point I'm wondering if it's a corrupted save file though I really, really don't want to start this game again haha

In relation to my last comment, I'm fairly certain that it's something to do with my save file now as I've gone into the online menu and started a hosted game no problem with a fresh lvl 1 character :( guess it's a lost cause after all.

Any chance you have steam cloud turned on? I never used it myself but maybe you can move your save to desktop and see if the cloud loads an uncorrupt save.

SOUROUKLEMES, good to hear you worked out your issue.

I am getting a General Protection Fault when I attempt to stream it to my Mac, from a Windows PC with an NVidia GTX 960 4GB, and only when attempting to stream it. The address it lists is 0xddba53. The physxcudart_20.dll insertion is having no effect.

if someone is still having this problem, probably its related to your savegame. Mine was, in this case, a corrupted save. Borderlands tries to load this corrupted save game and crashes.

Hey guys I made a dll that fixes this issue if you want I can upload it to www.filedropper.com and link it but it will only be up up for a limited time. If your interested just reply I will check this post to help with this issue! its clean and no viruses or any issues with it and works fine.
Update: I need to know if you guys want it in a zip or just the dll I recommend zip because I have added a readme but I want to make sure people read this before I upload it.
