Does BL1 have a 3rd playthru mode?
just opened the vault on my 2nd playthru, yay!

In BL2, there is the UVHM (3rd playthru), but I when I select my siren it only lets me select playthru 1 + playthru 2. is that all there is?

if so... how do you level up to 61 for the +11 achievement?

I'm like 53 or so, from quest exp mostly. but if the highest baddies are going to be the lvl 49 + 50 guys outside the vault, it's going to be pretty dull grinding out the last few lvls ... i suspect by the time you're lvl 60 you get like 1 exp per kill ?

Thanks + have fun!

play jakobs cove first to get a couple of lvls knoxx starts at lvl51 until you beat armory quest around lvl56 then it syncs to 1 more than your lvl and tartarus syncs to whatever lvl you start at, so its not a grind and can be a lot of fun getting to lvl69, but its not a walk in the park

I'd reverse the order of Ned's DLC and Knoxx's DLC even though that's not the order they came out in.

Since you're already lvl 53, you'd be in the high 50s after finishing Ned's DLC. This sucks doing the Knoxx DLC, (I know, cuz I just did this) because you're fighting lower-level enemies, completing lower-level quests, and gaining lower-level loot for most of the DLC.... it's really grindy.

Instead, if you do the Knoxx DLC first, you're only a little over-leveled for it, so the enemies, quests, and loot are close to where you are for the entire thing.

As rresuggan said, the other three DLC all scale the entire time, so they'll be appropriately difficult and give appropriate awards after completing Knoxx.

The only downside to doing this is that you might get a small spoiler for the Ned DLC by doing Knoxx first.

^ Think you meant the Claptrap DLC. That's the one with all the spoilers, lol.

No, I meant what I said. But, you're right, the Claptrap DLC should be after Knoxx and Ned.
@MigzDH:

I don't know dude, i'm still on Playthrough 1 and i'm a Level-44 Soldier grinding only enough Claptrap kills to get the BobbleTrap achievement, before completing my last 2 Guardian-based Challenges and then moving on to the "Secret Armory of General Knoxx" DLC (basically saving the Vault mission in the base game for last)

I don't know how the Knoxx DLC works in PT1.

But for PT2, I definitely suggest Knoxx, Ned, and Claptrap as the order. (Unless you begin the DLCs lower than lvl 50. Then, maybe the original order would be ok.)

Moxxi's, you can do whenever, but I'd rather do it after reaching the level cap and having a lot of good items.

thanks all.

I did the DLCs in PT1, so i've probably seen most of the spoilers.

general knoxx sounds fun, i had this crazy overpowered erididian "thunder" something (storm?) which shot 8 balls of shock each for quite good dmg. the gun was only min req lvl 28, but I think I used it almost to lvl 40. at point blank range, it would just erase shields.

I'd love to see what a lvl 50 version looks like.

When you complete Playthrough 2 (there are slightly different rules for some of the DLCs, though), yoiu get into what's generally called Playthrough "2.5". It's still Playthrough 2 so all the quests are still completed, but everything scales up to your level or above (like bosses).

So, I'm level 69 (the max level attainable), and everything I see is also 69 or higher. Which also means that item drops generally have a decent level.

Eridian weapons are not really "overpowered" -- they have infinite ammo, but long recharge times.

You get playthrough 2.5, like Kargor said. Stuff will scale up, but you keep your quests done from playthrough 2. If you do Knoxx at the start of playthrough 2.5, stuff will stay in the low 50's until you beat General Knoxx, THEN stuff will scale; I did the Circle of Duty with a friend last night and gained 2 levels (63-65) in 1 round of that.

Yes, Borderlands is NOT an MMO"RP"G. They don't exactly scale down your levelling to prevent you from maxing out -- quite the contrary, with everything scaling up, levelling is superfast.

Proficiencies were a bit annoying, but that's mostly because I "had" to level stuff that I never use. So, fast levelling or not, it felt useless. I had SMG maxed out long before getting to endgame, I maxed out Sniper and Rocketlauncher for Crawmerax -- everything else just felt like a waste of time, no matter how fast it levelled.

like previous comments say, there is a playthrough 2.5, but not 3. i thought i should write this because no one else directly said no pt3
