How to approach the DLC without being too overleveled?
Ok just finished my main storyline Playthrough 1 with my Hunter...I'm.about 80 pct of the way to lvl 37.

I started the Zombie DLC, first couple of quests are level 35, and the monsters are level 35.

Which is good, but according to Borderlandswiki the stuff there starts at level 15, but I'm glad it isn't for me...I guess there's some level scaling or something for the DLC's.

So am I doing this right will I not be too overleveled for the later DLC's?

Or should I pick Playthrough 2 when I launch my game down the road as I level up more?

actually dude, he's not hacking. Playthough 2.5 (the original game's version of UVHM) unlocks when you reach the Destroyer's lair in Playthrough 2. And once you reach his lair and defeat him, all of the enemies in and around Pandora scales up to your level.

playthrough 2 starts around lvl36, i tend to play zombie island and just rush through main quest get the backpack sdu from lumber yard and finish about lvl37, then do claptrap dlc main quest, get sdu get extra skill point and farm loot room for lots of legendaries, class mods and a panacea shield and im lvl40 then start pt2 and skip side quests until im back on lvl with main quest, also farm the 1st 5 backpack sdus in lost cave sledge safehouse new haven tetanus warren and crazy earls scrapyard if you want the extra slots, i dont bother with general knoxx in pt1 as the sdu in lockdown palace is not 100% certain and its a pain to altf4 and get back there

And going back to the topic. If you play First Playthrough, and wont finish the second one, Zombie Island monsters will be the same level as your current main story mission level requirement. So if you completed first playthrough and want to start zombie island, mobs will always be level 35, since mission to get the last vault key and kill the destroyer has level 35 requirement. It keeps going like this until you kill VISIT (Don't even have to kill him) the Destroyer on second playthrough for the first time. From then, every mob will be at least level 55, and will scale up to your level wherever you go, in any dlc.

I started Playthough 2...and then teleported to Zombie Island after I did the Sledge Mine Key mission and the mobs and initial quests there are level 42.

My guy is lvl 39 so imo for a character in my situation there's no point in playing through Playthrough 2 before doing the DLC because I'll be overleveled for Zombie Island, Claptrap's, and Moxxi's.

Unless I'm wrong on how the level scaling works on Zombie on Playthrough 2 and they scale clear up to level 51 or something.

As it stands right now I'd be better off just skipping most of main story playthrough 2 and moving on to the DLC, via Playthrough 2.

Unless you think the leveling really slows down at level 40 or something.

To me it seems like you can level really fast in Playthrough 2 because the mobs are really bumped up in level.

Did you even read my post. Until you meet the destroyer in pt2 zombies scale with the level of your main mission. After that they scale with your level. I legit explained everything to you and yet you ignored my post for some reason.
