Krom insta-kill

So I take on the mission to kill Krom as a level 29 Hunter. I enter the final area of the canyon and see him off in the distance at his turret. I have a pretty nice 200-damage revolver with a good zoom and x4 corrosive property, so I figure I'll take a few potshots at him. I shoot like 3 or 4 times and the turret goes up...and then I get a "Killed Krom!" objective update. I guess that works?

Really? I haven't been grinding or anything. I've been working through side missions as they're available, then moving on to the next story mission when I have most of those cleared up. The previous bosses have all put up stiff resistance at whatever levels I was then, so I'd assume this was some sort of lucky fluke or a bit of a glitch.

Well actually the same thing just happened to me tonight. I was lvl 42 and Krom 45 so definitely not overleveled. Still I 2 shot him with a corrosive gun. Actually I 2 shot the turret but the mission was completed anyway.
Funny thing is that after that Krom was stuck is the background and I could "kill him a second time". (I've screenshot that but seems you can't post pics here)

So it just seems that corrosive weapons are insane against turret!

Yeah, doing a bit of Googling it sounds like that's a common occurrence.

Krom is good practice for some of the turrets you have to face later on.

Krom does seem to be very weak to corrosive weapons for some reason. The last time I took him on, the only corrosive sniper i had was something like 10 levels lower than him and I was expecting to use a lot of ammo. I normally use exposive snipers for him.
One shot, lots of corrosive DOT happened, Krom was dead. Very, very unexpected. By far the easiest Krom kill I have had.

i had a lvl22 pestilent defiler (dark gold very op 4.3 zoom 330 damage) it only took 1 shot as well
