Yeah when playing BL series for the first time I thought I would just start with BL 1 as one does with every game
The online is dead and nobody is going to play BL 1 now to grind for loot that would be really dumb when you could instead be playing BL2.
So I was like what the heck let me play BL1 single player just for the story so I can catch up before I jump into BL2
LOL Turns out the Story is non existent LOL basically a massive joke.
In the end I just skipped onto BL 2 as my first game and never regretted it.
Borderlands is just a type of game where the first version is a joke and there is 0 redeeming aspect to even try it. Basically the first Borderlands game is BL 2.
Because BL1 was just a unreleased Alpha title in a sense.
aah ok thanks I will do that.
I stated nearly 8 things and 1 out of the 8 is graphics.
In any event you couldn't be more wrong, for starters I am 34 so I am pretty sure I have been playing games since you were in diapers. This is the primary reason I play fighting games so much, one has to be a special idiot to not notice that. Young people don't play fighting games especially not street fighter. And no, single player story mode doesn't count in fighting games
In any event Borderlands is a loot grinding game hence the whole reason everybody plays BL2
You don't even know what "end game" is.
BL1 is a crap game that is incomplete, no story and 0 incentives to play since it is dead. Loot grinding games require end game content and a strong playerbase, neither of which BL1 has over BL2.
BL2 graphics just makes it a lot more pleasing to look at.
You are actually trying to "school" me a Diablo 2 and SF3 3rd strike veteran player?
Don't make me laugh kiddo, sit at the back and let the grown ups talk.
He says BL1 is a tech demo and is garbage compared to BL2
If there is one place where BL1 beats BL2 it's definitely in its loot generation. I once found a Legendary in a bin... A BIN ! The vending machines regularly had high quality gear. Where in 2 you'll be lucky to find anything higher than Green in the special offers, nevermind the main stock list.. Really the only way to get decent gear in 2 was by using Golden Keys. Which tbh was total BS, as technically they weren't even properly part of the game...
Not sure why people are bashing the weapons of 1 either. Wouldn't knock anything without first having a go with a MASHER, An ATLAS Machine Gun or ANARCHY SMG. All awesome and none of which made it into the sequel...
Can't agree (How can I with my hours count lol)... BUT ! Yeah, where BL1 is concerned I certainly can. Mechanically speaking it is a much better constructed game. From loot generation to how damage works and the death animations of the bandits. Also like the fact that you can finish BL1 single player. Every mission, the job lot. Still annoys me to this day that there's just too many jobs sidelined for Co-Op only. Making completion in 1UP impossible.
Technically, never had any problems. Though my Radeon card does tend to struggle a bit with the Nvidia patented PhysX stuff....
But have really enjoyed them all tbh. Even "Tales", which I'd still prefer to just watch rather than piddle about being mind numbed by Telltales sh*tty gameplay mechanics...
about tales - good story, i like it
The golden keys have usually given he trash tho.
I would give BL1 another try if that is true but then again anybody can cheat or use a save file from someone else with the best in slot weapon. It isn't like Path of Exile where a true legendary is just that, you can't cheat and get it you really are that special and lucky when you get BIS drops in POE.
So the whole idea of BL1 being an ARPG kinda goes out the window when you consider cheating and save files are the norm.
When you get amazing loot in POE you really feel rewarded since its a closed server with an economy and no cheating. Noway you can feel the same about BL1 finding that legendary in a dust bin when you know the best weapon is 1 click of a save file away from someone.
No I am not arguing with you or anything
I was just pointing out something I noticed which is really sad and that is, getting the best item is 1 save file away from the countless you can find online. It sort of defeats the purpose of farming for an Amazing item like you do in POE.
