Roland can regen ammo and health easily, but the Scorpio turret is awkward to use properly.
Mordecai can bypass shields, and has a pet Bloodwing which attacks like a homing missile.
Brick has powerful passives and buffs in his skilltree, but Berzerk is only situationally useful.
It depends on playstyle, they all play pretty much the same at the beginning when you have no skill points yet. You can't use an action skill until level 5 (but this might be about 20 minutes into the game) and don't have enough skill points to use the highest tier skills at all until level 21.
By the first time you complete the game you will be about level 35, depending on how many side missions you finished and how much grinding you did. Max level is 69 with the DLC add-ons.
Lilltihs Phasewalk will be a gamebreaker after enough skill points and i really missed that kind of siren in BL2.
There is a nice revolver build for mordecai i unfortuantely never used.
for a sniper the distance seemed to be all the time to low. but that is just my opinion..you just cant have sitting ducks all the time. ;) (Mordecai sniper was my first cahracter).
At the end lillith was most fun (phasing in and spamming the enemys full of elemenatal smg ammunition on short range before phasing out again in security). i even killed crawmerax sometime with the snipermod/com.
Roland was only medicore on singleplayer for me.
and brick was the only cahracter i played not to lv 69 but just to 40.
beserk is fun, but there are some enemys you cant beat (especially on DLCs) if you want a only melee guy. with enough time i would have played him to 69 and get more SP for rockets. maybe the than the big robot would have been killable. maybe he just was not my kind of playing the game. ;)
