At what level should i start Playthrough 2?

I am currently sitting at level 43 playing as Lilith and still have quite more quests to finish.Should i keep completing all the quests in the DLC's or get straight to Playthrough 2?

P.S:The only DLC left to fully complete are The Secret Armory of General Knoxx ,The Claptrap's Robot Revolution and Moxxi's Underdome Riot.

Actually you are now overleveled. You finish PT1 with 36lv and enemies are around that level, so you can start immediately PT2.

When i finished the main story and started The Secret Armory of General Knoxx the enemies were quite a challange until i passed level 40.Then it became easy peasy,same as all the bosses from there on.

Added you since I've been looking for someone else who plays this game. I'm around the same progress too, still on playthrough 1 and only completed the zombie island DLC

Usally when you beat the boss at the end of the main storyline you can start PT2 and since you are in the lvl 40 zone then you defenately start PT2 but what I do first is play the dlc until I want to start.

I've just started my second playthrough, I'm lvl 41 and it feels way too overleveled =(
I finished only one DLC with zombies. Don't know what to do because it's not fun. I guess I can rush through the campaign real quick though... Will the difficulty match up eventually?

Try The Secret Armory of General Knoxx..tried that one and even at level 50 you are too underleveled to face any enemies.

I did 1st playthrough with 100% main campaign completion, and 100% jacob's end (zombie DLC). I ended up level 41 and was glad, since I could handle missions that would otherwise be extremely challenging without good gear, such as the shock crystal one and the "meat and greet" rounds. If I hit a roadblock later on due to lacking levels/gear, I will start on DLC again to keep progression feeling "smoother".

yeah go to playthrough 2. don't do underdome dlc. it is depressingly bad

despite how bad the underdome is you get a skill point for every playthrough you complete it so its a good idea to finish underdome and claptrap before playtrough 2 so you get the max skill points possible

Going through it 8 times is pretty terrible, and that's if you only have 1 of each character. Doing the large arena challenges is the worst, I'm just glad I won't have to repeat any of that hell when I transfer my characters to enhanced.
