New Crawmerax Guide

I created a new guide on how to defeat Craw without the glitch spot. What gear to use, strategies, full video runs for each class, etc.

I don't have too many tips for Brick yet, but I will.

I will be adding different weapon cards that confirm to work with varying rarities.

In my rushed attempt to finish it, I did forget the Support Gunner mod. Thanks for the reminder.

I did know about it being a Draco, but the format system doesn't allow all HTML code. I was going to put the weapon/item cards in a table with a description/reason why it is good next to it but it looked terrible. I'll think of something and add like a asterisk/reference number.

in answer to your question regarding Legendary's and the commonest ones.
the Volcano and Hellfire are the most common in my experience. find them way more than the rest.

Someone did a comprehensive study on loot drops and common/uncommon/rare legendaries and pearlescents. Here is the link: https://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/t/crawmerax-statistics-a-study-of-120-000-drops/1505422/2 EDIT: Equalizers are ridiculously common legendary

I believe having 4 players just increases the amount of loot that drops (which does give you more chances of finding something good). Outside of Craw, having more players spawns more badasses. Badasses drop the good stuff. So indeed better loot can spawn more often potentially.

I think I got the math right. According to that data, it seems some legendaries are more rare than pearls..it makes sense sort of. Because when you break up the legendaries into individual weapons, the odds of you finding that weapon goes way down.

For example, he found 23 pearls in 1200 craw kills..which means 1 pearl for every 53 craw kills. But the player only found 6 reaper legendaries which puts it at 1 reaper for every 200 craw kills. Seems weird but when you think about it, pearls encompass a rarity (encompassing 12 items) while the reaper is just 1 weapon. So if i singled out the Aries pearl, which he found 3, it would be 1 aries for every 400 craw kills. If I encompassed the top 7 rarest legendaries, you would only have to kill Craw 17 times to get 1 of the 7 rarest legendaries. Odds go up when you add more weapons to your pool.

for me, the rarest gun seems to be the Reaper for some reason. still looking for one. found pretty much everything else. also found the Armory ( Farmory ? ) to produce more Legendaries and Pearls than Crawmerax.

I've never seen armory loot stats..problem is, do you consider each chest equal? i suppose it doesnt matter..just do 1000 armory runs and add up the loot...maybe ill do it..though i'd need to redownload oasis so i don't go insane

HAH, now that is definately a better option than Craw...

If there was one that had the same amount and same type of chests as the armory, i could easily do a study..

regarding that map, took me almost 2 hours to open them all. here's the funny part, after i opened all the chests my frame rates dropped like a rock. haha

lol, looks like craw wants to check out that skeleton. Maybe his ancestor..

I'd be devastated if a pearl that i needed dropped.
