Will you discover logic and reason? Only time will tell, but I for one am not about to hold my breath.
Let's see, with taxes just over $1,500.00, the camera I already had.

This thread has slipped off the deep end, I see no point in continuing to participate in it. Unsubscribing.
Apologies for my part in bringing drama to this forum, no idea how good or bad it normally is here, but sorry for my part in this mess.
I play Borderlands games for the guns.
BL1 > BL2
I completely disagree here, Borderlands 1 guns felt the same to me and felt it had less variety in parts in randomizing of guns, less elementals, explsoive damage is better in borderlands 2, no E-tech weapons, eridian guns doesn't feel as good as e-tech weapons.
If you are playing borderlands just for the "Guns" you are better off Plating Borderlands 2 game of the year edition or even borderlands pre sequal which have much more fun guns than borderlands 1.
I didn´t like the guns in BL 2 as much as the ones in BL1 as well. I already mentioned these points, but what the heck......You mentioned that the guns in BL1 felt more similar to you; exactly that feeling I have with BL 2. The main reason for that is that every gun from a manufacturer had it´s special quirk; every Tediore-Gun became a grenade on reload, every Torgue-Gun was an explosive-weapon, every Hyperion-Gun became more stable the longer you fired. So many guns always felt kind of samey to me. I would have liked to see these things matched up a little bit.
I also didn´t ike the fixation on elemental-weapons. In BL1 you could play with non-elementals for the whole game, in BL2 you have to use elementals; especially on the harder playthroughs. Of course elementals were beneficial in BL1 as well, fire against flesh, acid against armored enemies etc.; but they were never a necessity; my favourite guns from BL1 were not even in BL2 ----> the Cobra Combat Rifles. And I always had the feeling that the Legendary Guns in BL2 weren´t as powerful as the ones in BL1; especially the ones that were featured in both games.
Which is unfortunate since borderlands 1 isn't as fun nor as funny as the rest of the borderlands series
I can see that though i mostly have a different opinion, let's hope borderlands 3 has better and more fun guns
I've seen most people say they prefer the humor of Borderlands 1, rather than the dated memes spewed around in BL2, but then again humor is heavily subjective.
I would probably like BL2's changes more if they didn't ♥♥♥♥ up the manufacturers. Jakobs weapons have high fire rate but also high recoil, so you probably won't get to make much use of the high fire rate unless you are right in front of an enemy. Hyperion weapons are very inaccurate before you start firing them, so the manufacturer that's supposed to be about precision makes really terrible snipers.
Also elementals worked much differently in BL1, instead of having a flat damage and flat chance of inflicting the status. I think there's a wiki page that breaks down how the Tech pool works.
I like some of the changes from BL1 to BL2, like elemental accessories getting their own slots so you can have an elemental weapon that also has another accessory.
I prefer the accuracy system in BL1, though that's more just a personal preference thing. Unlike BL2, weapons don't start to sway as you fire them more, they just become less accurate.
In BL1, the graphics are (relatively) primitive. I can tell (generally) what a weapon is by looking at it, but I really can't tell the specifics of how it'll work unless I read the card. I think better in pictures than I do in text, so I'm less fond of how BL1 presents weapons.
In BL2, the models are very distinctive. I can tell just by looking at a weapon lying on the ground what it is, and how it'll perform. The card still has additional data of course, but in BL2, I can make an accurate visual assessment of a weapon even without the card.
So .. personally, I prefer BL2.
I don't believe that's correct. I don't have a direct quote, but supposedly Pitchford has spoken on the issue and BL2 does indeed have more total potential guns.
BL1 supposedly can generate 17,750,000 guns. Pitchford didn't say how many more BL2 can create, but does claim it's a lot more.

Also I'm pretty sure Pitchford was talking out of his ass, considering there are fewer weapon categories and 1 less manufacturer in BL2, as well as what I had mentioned about manufacturer determining body part.
