but with dragonflies if I have the same problem
EDIT:
Okay, so I was able to get them to the beastmaster's island fine, but when using the beastmaster's corral, nothing happens. You can interact with the coral and select the animals, but they won't enter it, and the quest doesn't advance at all. A sound is made and small tag pops up, (similar to the notification tag when using a regular corral,) but it isn't labeled properly.(just a bunch of numbers)
I interacted with the corral entering one by one, and he told me the mission without problems
We're aware of both of these issues surrounding the beastmaster quest.
The team is working on these and we hope for a patch as soon as possible.

Can you try regenerating the world and see whether the dragonflies then spawn?

We would recommend that you either play a new game or an NG+ and regenerate your world.
