Hi Yeddy,

We're sorry to hear you're having this issue.

Can you try going to this folder: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Team17 Digital Ltd_\The Survivalists

And remove the player log files, then reload the game and test the names?
(Please copy these to a different folder in the meantime to make sure no data is lost)

Get back to us when you can.

Regards,
Team17 Support

the issue is what the dev suggested is not how steam lays out its files It brings up things like il2cpp_data, plugins, resources, streaming assets, app, boot.config etc

Greetings Yeddy,

We have tested this to confirm and were able to locate the files fine - can you see The Survivalists at all, and if not, up until where in the subfolder chain can you find folders?

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Team17 Digital Ltd_\The Survivalists

And has no problem because I forced the game to save . I recognize the problem they are having "Monkey/unity/crash/updater has failed please reinstall the game error code 9000 but to reinstall the game on windows 10 reinstall steam. How I know my controller did this and froze steam and all it's elements.

This was when no controller support was on for this game but the color enable option was fixed in a update.

Hi Yeddy,

Thanks for your reply.

Can you please make sure that you have hidden files turned on?

The save files do not save where the game installation is saved, which will be whatever drive you choose through Steam. The files you've mentioned above are from the installation folder.

Can you please try going through each section instead of copy-pasting the folder we gave?
  1. Open File manager
  2. Go to your C drive or the drive called 'My PC'
  3. Go to Users
  4. Then go to the folder named your PC username
  5. In here, go to the 'view' tab and check that 'hidden items' is ticked.
  6. Then go to the appdata folder.
  7. Go to locallow
  8. Then go to Team17 Digital Ltd_
  9. Then open 'The Survivalists' folder.
You will then see a folder with a long line of numbers, which is your Steam ID.
Your saves are in there.
