Stuck on loading screen

Greetings all,

We have now tried to apply a hotfix to try to address this issue - as we continue to investigate and test further, this fix is currently available in the Experimental Branch on Steam.

Installing the Experimental Branch

If you access the Experimental Branch you risk your save data. We highly recommend backing up your save data before accessing it. Your save data default should be here:

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Team17 Digital Ltd_\The Survivalists

You can just copy this to another folder for safekeeping.

Your current save will be compatible with the new Experimental Branch but likely you will not be able to go back to default with that save. The Experimental Branch will be kept up to date, so you could in theory just play the new branch going forwards. Also you will only be able to play online with other experimental branch players as the default will be incompatible.

Installing the Experimental Branch

1. Right click the game in your Steam Library and select Properties
   
2. Select the ‘Betas’ tab
   
3. From here select the Experimental from the dropdown list
   
4. Once you next try to open The Survivalists on Steam you should automatically download the experimental branch
   
5. Test loading your game

The game stuck at loading page.

I have played this game for a couple of hours yesterday already. Today I opened the game, after pressing the space bar, it went into its loading page which is normal. However, I am now stuck at this loading page for at least 5 minutes. I have tried closing the game and reopen it. It is just loading and loading. I even tried to restart my computer but it didn't change anything.
Does anyone have the same issue or any suggestion?

Sorry to hear you're having this issue.

We are aware of this issue, the team is currently working on this.
We hope to have a fix as soon as possible.

In the meantime, you can either delete or move your current save elsewhere and start fresh to continue playing.

Bug chargement cette fois que je clique sur la sauvegarde que je change

Bonjour, j'ai fait ce que vous avez dit avec le problème de chargement maintenant j'atteind la page avec les sauvegardes mais quand je clique sur une de mes sauvegarde chargement infini à nouveau c'est un peu lassant de recommencer je suis à ma 6 ème fois que je recommence et je commence à me lasser, j'aimerais bien avancer que de reculer plus de 40h de jeu a recommencer constament . Je dit "STOP" j'aimerais bien avoir à jouer sans me soucier de perdre ma sauvegarde ...

And how can I do that? I have the same problem, before I gave another error but I managed to create new worlds, I already made several worlds and I went very far with them ... but this is the least of the problems, I really don't know and I was unable to delete the "save" or the game cloud

Stuck at loading page

Still stuck at loading page even though I have deleted the game and downloaded it again.
Because of this problem,I can't start a new game or play the game NORMALLY.

I have tried to login my friend's steam and start the game. IT WORKS!!!!
Therefore, it clearly shows that the problem follows the steam account. It is no use to reinstall the game. However, still can't fix the problem if i want to play the game in my steam account

The game doesn't load

When starting the game, it does not advance from the loading screen, it does not show the main game menu.
anyone else have this same problem?
how can it be solved?
I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and nothing. it's like the save game is corrupted but i don't know. :(

if you don't mind your saving disappear, just open another steam account and borrow the game from your original steam account. For me, I think it's better than waiting and doing nothing;/ Hope this can help you

Ive been trying to find my games saves so I can just delete them. I have no problems with starting over. I do it quite a lot, just the way I play I guess. But I cant find the save data ANYWHERE! Going into %appdata% doesnt even show The Survivalists. And following the other paths (c: users username etc...) I dont have an appdata folder for it.

To Those Unaware (The Loading Problem)

NOT A FIX!

Just a heads up, if you have steam sync enabled, it will replace the save files you've deleted, even after you've removed them.

So, if you do have this infernal save game glitch that they should have fixed a long time ago, you don't need to open another account, borrow a friends account etc. Just right click into game properties in steam and uncheck steam sync files. Ideally, if you want to have some security in saving, best to just manually back up your save files. Even that won't necessarily save you though...

You might have to go into your folder options and make sure hidden folders are being shown. Appdata is hidden by default.

Game Stuck On Loading Screen

So after my friend joined, my game started lagging. So he left and I started to try to do solo and the game crashed. I restarted my game and then my game got stuck on my loading screen and it never loads. Please help.
