Missing chest after load

I'm frustrated and I'm not due to the bad monkey calling/grouping/training in an actually so interesting system (it has it's potencial but it needs some improvement, I wait for a QoL update here).
What really pisses me off is this: Yesterday I was on exploring an island with my crew of 4 monkeys - 3 to help me fighting, the 4th to carry my chest. It was the big purple one which I bought from the magic shop. The chest was almost full with stuff - weapons, some tools, treasures I've found but also important things like the telescope.
I built a bed, went to sleep + save the game and quit.

Now the most frustrating issue for me: Today I load into game and ... my chest is gone. I didn't loose them. I KNOW the monkey carried it when I quit the game. I've searched the whole path I already explored hoping the chest just stands there somewhere. I went back to my base island in hope perhaps this big purple chest got teleported there or something and it's just a small glitch.
Nothing. The chest is gone and with it soo many stuff I played hours the day before to get it.

Please, tell me there's a fix or at least you are aware of this issue and plan to fix it in an upcoming update. Otherwise I'm not motivated to play further or start a new game because I have to fear my chests will dissappear everytime I quit, restart an load the game.

I have the exact same issue. The Mysterious Chest was my main chest and I cannot find it after loading.

Joining a public game and leaving again solved the issue for me.

Yes, it worked for me, too. My chest is back, so is my motivation to play again. Now we all have to wait for an improvement update on the monkey system :D

Same happened to me on the switch but I cannot fix it due to only have internet access once a month or so when visiting relatives.

Had the exact same issue. The solution indicated fixed the bug for me.

I had the same problem, today I found my. Magical chest. For anyone who can't go online like me, I found it on another island.
Make your raft, go out on the water and use the spyglass. Once you reveal the area (clear the fog with the spyglass) with your chest the icon appears on your map.
Hope this helps.
And my chest was carried by a monkey when I saved to make it disappear.
