Stegosaurus Skull?

Has anyone been able to find a stegosaurus skull? I've been able to find plenty of stegosaurus limbs in swamp biomes, but I haven't found any skulls yet. I was able to get one on my old world (before regeneration) but I don't remember where I got it from. Any tips?

Destroy all the bones in the swamp to increase the chance of one spawning.

A solution would be joining another game if you can not find one on your world or keep sleeping till the world is replenish mark all bone location in the swamp area and destroy all the bones for better chance, not sure if this actually work as well but killing the frabbit on the lava biome for the lucky foot increase your luck, GL though I’m doing the same thing myself hahaha

I think it's sort of funny that after 2ish months I find people commenting on an old post of mine with the answers that I had given out to others myself, after realizing them. Regardless, i appreciate both of your sentiments.

hate to comment on a necro post, but how many times did you destroy stegosauriers? does the rabbit foot really increase the chances? (and if yes, does it get better the more foots you carry?)

I had one world where some insect spawns were bugged and had no skulls (stacks full of the other stego bones).
I tried with a friend in his completely new world (ca. 30 stego bones)
and regenerated mine again (13 of the stego bones).

i never found any stegosaurus skulls in any of the worlds.

Ist the drop rate really that slim? Or is it bugged for me? (im worryed because my insect spawn in one world was absolutely bugged)

I haven't heard of the frabbit foot increasing drop rates, (I actually haven't played in quite a while) but for the stegosaurus skull is stupidly rare. Although, if you insect spawn is bugged, you might just want to regenerate your worlds to try and fix both problems.

Just to clarify: I already tried in 3 different worlds. The first had issues with the insects, the other two should work - with that stupid stego skull drop rate being stupid

For anyone struggling to get the stegosaurus skull, there's a much easier solution. For some reason the devs made the drop rate on it rather low. My guess is that it's somewhere between 1 in 30 to 1 in 50. Anyways, this trick worked for me: Rather than scouring the swamp and waiting for hours for the bones to respawn, just make a cheap bed in front of one and save there before mining it, then just keep reloading the game without saving until one drops. I was able to get one after many many attempts this way. It definitely does drop from the swamp bones, it's just unusually rare comparably to the other biomes bones.
