Opulent Curio not working

I have completed every achievement except 2, one of them i HAVE done in the game which is "make a golden statue" in the forge, i have made many of them, ive had my monkeys make it, ive built one myself, etc. etc. etc. i cant unlock the achievement

this is bugged for me too at first, but you can try my solution. Make sure to sell all the gold statue you have even if in the chest. After you have no statue, try crafting one, without using monkey. The achievement pop up for me after doing this.

I still can't get achievement to pop. Regenerated into a new world and still won't trigger. This last time it was the first statue (there were no existing ones to sell) and I crafted it manually.

If you are having trouble getting this trophy, customizing your character before crafting the statue seems to fix whatever causes the trophy to not unlock.

What I did to unlock the trophy:

Started up my game

Changed every setting in the Character Customization menu. (Name, hair, facial hair, body type, shirt colour, pants colour...)

In the Furnace, select the Golden Statue blueprint.

Place the ingredients into the Furnace. (2 Golden Plates and 1 Golden Nails.)

Using a Multitool, craft the golden statue without the help of a monkey.

The trophy unlocked soon after the statue was crafted.

Credit to: XxKiLLEr_-FiShxX, carlosveber and BA_Velox of PSNProfiles for confirming that changing your Character's Appearance, seems to fix this trophy.

I've just found a fix to this achievement. All you need to do for it to pop out is when crafting the statue in forge you need NOT to select an amount (indefinite amount of crafts, so basically just click on the craft, do not hold). And to be safe I crafted it myself without using monkeys.
