Can't sleep in bed?

This is probably me being obtuse, but I cannot figure out how to sleep in a bed to save the game? It is asking me for White Sheets but I can only make the Green Sheets so far, and I seem to have crafted 1 of every item I have available to craft and no more recipes are unlocking. Anybody know what's up?

Select the green sheets like you are selecting a tool and then use it on the bed.

yeah that one took me a hot minute. I think the icon is white because you haven't crafted it yet. So I was trying to figure out how to find cotton to make sheets. Finally I figured out it had the same shape as the green sheets. It's a little vague on that. Also I ended up getting chased by creatures at night and managed to accidentally throw my weapon on the ground. Couldn't sleep but kept pulling the sheets off my bed while running around in a panic. So that was fun.

Can I also add to this... I managed to do my first vault without sleeping simply because I was looking for some cotton/silk to make the sheets. I would definitely make the icon green.

This is a known issue currently and will be fixed for launch! :)

After placing the bed down can I dismantle and carry it to another place. I can take the blanket but I don't know how to or if I can take the bed and put in inventory.

I crafted part of the Bed and now it's asking for a BLANKET... I made bunches of sheets but it won't accept sheets! It wants a Blanket and there is no recipe for a blanket. But the sheet looks exactly like what it's asking for... wtf?

make a regular sheet, equip it like you would your axe, and it'll let you put it on the bed then sleep

Yeah , im stuck making a blanket, sheets fine, can't find a blanket to craft

Just figured it out , just use the sheets.

How do I use the map on a steam deck though?

I guess the devs don't realise that sheets and blankets are not the same thing. So, it says you need a blanket when you actually need a sheet. Great way to confuse people who are trying to figure out the game. As if the controls are not sufficiently confusing already. Also the sheets I just made did not appear in my quickslots so by the time I realised I had to push the I-key to see my inventory I already had made 6 sets of blankets... urm... I mean "sheets", sorry.
