Sorry, the game only supports Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Windows MR headsets at the moment.
The development team is exploring other options, but VR is a central idea of this experience.
Please keep following the game to see what develops in future. You can follow @vrparadise on Twitter.
Thanks for your thoughts @Red Player. At this time, the focus of VR Paradise is to have an amazing VR experience. There are no plans currently for a "desktop only" experience, sorry.
However, this is something the team may consider in future. So please do follow @vrparadise on Twitter to keep updated with the news.
You'll notice in the upcoming features announcement posted the other day that a new feature that is being added this month is the ability to play without VR controllers. You should be able to use keyboard, mouse or gamepad controller instead.
Do you own a smartphone? If you do, then I think you'll like where this is going...
For a very small amount (less than $50), you can turn your smartphone into a basic VR headset using software like Riftcat VRidge (https://riftcat.com/vridge) or Kino VR (http://kinovr.kinoni.com/).
While I haven't tested it myself yet, I am hoping that the ability to play without the VR controllers, combined with this simple solution, will let LOTS more people experience VR Paradise very soon!
Granted, it's not the same as experiencing it with a real VR headset - but the results are still pretty impressive for most things I've tried elsewhere.
Fingers crossed!
Just a note, but it works fine with Pimax too.
Awesome! Glad to hear and thanks a lot for replying! Also I will for sure check that program out, didn't know that was a thing, thanks!
Can't wait for the update, also can't wait to see this evolve. Keep up the great work and it's really awesome seeing Devs talk to the community.
Have a good one, cheers.
P.S. Thanks for the links, you rock!
However, the next update due on 25th March will support alternative controls like keyboard, mouse and gamepad.
In theory, this should make it possible to experience VR Paradise with your smartphone as the VR headset using something like Riftcat VRidge or Kino VR.
