BETA EXTENDED: Additional Features

Hi everyone,

The team has decided to extend the beta period for the next update in order to add a few additional "surprise" features.

This means the update will be delayed to give the team time to ensure everything is high quality before release.

The target date for the upcoming release is 15 July, however this date is subject to change.

I gotta say, they really need to work on their release/update schedules or at least give a broad road map to temper expectations.
If these "surprise" features don't feel substantial they are no doubt going to have some pretty pissed off people. The PC gamer/VR user crowd is use to quite a bit of transparency and communication nowadays.
Ultimately though these guys do great work and looking forward to future updates!

Actually, I tend to agree. And I've given them that feedback multiple times. I usually find people are more supportive and willing to engage if you are transparent and release frequently.

While Totem has been in business for 20+ years with Virtuagirl and iStripper, this is the first title they released onto Steam, so I suspect this is all a bit new to them.

That said, the team is working hard to get a quality release out the door ... so we'll just have to be patient.

I can wait....I just fired up the game last night and fell in love with it again, because quite frankly it still looks great.

The fact that it is so good in its current form is what makes me wish we would see more frequent updates with the features that have been requested included.

There's a massive opportunity here to build a community around this game with customisation and new assets. I really wish Totem would double-down on this.

Yeah very true. If they opened it up to mods people would sign up in droves since $20 is a very low barrier to entry. Their content would still be tops because no modder is going to have the resources to get body scans to create textures and mocap actual dancers.

Hopefully the surprises are some good stuff, whatever it is. I haven't fired the game up in at least a few months, both because I've been busy and because I knew there wasn't anything new. Even a trickle of new content like a new girl every week or two would keep me engaged, but, oh well.

Personally, I'm not a fan of mods for this game - but I do think there should be content and features in game to let players to create and share girls and clubs. This would build a huge community around this game.

And for those who don't want to create clubs or design girls, they would have a HUGE library of content to choose from.

That's pretty much what I meant for the most part, kind of like what Illusion does with their character creators. Their creators go one step further and output the girl settings into jpg files with images of them, so they're essentially trading cards at that point. Save the jpg, import the girl. :D

They should let us opt in to the beta branch, with the knowledge that it will be less polished! It's early access anyway, and they'd get more feedback on potential bugs.

Thanks for the update wtprivate, and for the work you do around here in being a contact point to the devs. I am excited for whatever the additional "surprise" features are. Maybe they will have some early customization in. If so, it's worth the wait.

The surprise features are unlikely to be customisation, as much as I wish it was. We'll have to wait and see.

It's unusual for an early access game to have closed beta's but it does happen.

Thanks, I didn't see the discord in the FAQ before. I'll join, both to let them know I'm interested in the beta but also to see what the devs say directly. Much appreciated for the info.

I'm personally a member of the beta group, and I can tell you an update is incoming.

That said, I do think the developer could do a much better job of communicating. It's not surprising to see comments like yours given circumstances.
