If you're having Controller Issues...

Hey all! Thanks for checking out the Beta. We're working hard to make the experience clean for everyone, but while we investigate some controller bugs, we have the following recommendation:

If you're using a controller other than an Xbox One controller, and are experiencing issues such as a spinning camera, please try enabling Steam's built-in Controller Mapping system. We've heard of various controller issues that we are unable to replicate at this time - and until we come up with a fix, using Steam's Controller system (which can be found in the Steam Settings) is probably your best bet.

Again, we're sorry for the inconvenience, and we'll continue to work on this.

I'm using a xbox360 controller, and the buttons don't match the suggested buttons... For example: I have to press the "B" button to continue a conversation instead of the suggested "A" This also goes for the other buttons in the game...

Could be an oversight on the developer's part. This game was initially developed for the Switch which has a backwards button configuration compared to the Xbox layout.

My Logitech F310 controller inputs not showing up on the lower left corner of the screen and can't turn the camera with right analog stick. Had to use a mouse for that.

I bought the game today and I'm also having issues with my controller. the camera always spin to the left. I can kinda fix it by pushing the joystick to the right a little bit but it gets pretty annoying. Otherwise the game is pretty fun!!

Edit: I'm using a "Razer Wolverine Tournament Edition" for xbox one

Also here controller A and B are inverted.

Also UP and DOWN on the Directional Pad are inverted.

Controller model: Logitech F310.

I wrote this in a review, but if ppl are having an automtaic spinning camera, and reversed triggers, it's a weird Windows issue. ( this fix pertains to Ds4 controllers exclsuively )
Ppl should launch the game with no controller plugged in at all, and once it;s running - then you plug it in.

any other contorller may be fixed by the above method, but if it does not - check your display settings by right clicking your desktop , clicking display - then check out size and scaling options - make sure they're at 100%, and that your resolution is the size of your monitor's not any higher, or lower.

hopefully this helps, and a third last-ditch fix is to use Steam's built in api, but select a different controller than the one you have. [ if you had a playstation 4 controller, and had that selected alreadt ( and had issues ) try changing it to xbox ( relaunch game when you do this, btw )
if xbox didnt work , try switch pro. sometimes games get messy bc of strange regional issues.
Like, some Japanese pcs will be afflicted by strange controller issues, and of course the USa-bound devs can't replictae it ^^ this happened ot me on a game called YIIK: A postmodern RPG.
hopefully my experience in controlelr woes helps here. I don'trecall having trouble with my controllers with this game.

This is a great list of things to try if you're having issues. Thanks for the tips! We are also pushing an update tonight with some Controller Deadzone options to help with camera issues.
