Custom Students?

Just saw this in the options menu of the game. Apparently this is for some kind of customized students that were rewarded to backers (I guess kickstarter or something similar).

I guess anyone that got this reward knows the 'first name' of the customized student they got as a reward and can thus make it show up in their game? Just seems a bit odd how this is implented, as it basically adds an option in the menu for everyone playing the game, even though it is only intended for a select few.

Also kinda really curious what these custom students look like, if they have unique traits or a unique portrait, or both. I guess anyone could just try putting random names in there and 'fish' for an existing custom char. Maybe one of the backers would be willing to share what their custom char looks like? (could even black out the name if you don't want others to have it in their game)

Like.. I'm not opposed to backers having their unique reward in the game, it's a cool idea. Am just really curious about it and what it looks like. (and if there wasn't a obvious visible menu option for it in the game, I wouldn't even be asking about it cause I wouldn't know about it xD)

I came here to see if we could customize students to make yourself and friends, but this is pretty disappointing to learn if this is some locked behind kickstarter feature :|
