Guys...I have to confess something...
I'm starting to REALLY like Federal navy.

I figured I'd give them another chance since I got bored of replaying the other 4 navies, and omg they are SO FUN!

Yeah they don't have anything that specifically kills shields, but the thermal guns they do get are so powerful that they just don't need them! Seriously if the AoE effect of their guns didn't exist, they'd be even easier than Syndicate navy to use. But even WITH the barrage effect of their thermal guns, they can rip apart ANYTHING.

At one point I glanced at the damage the Fed dreadnought does at level 5, and its thermal guns did more damage than a fully upgraded level 8 imp dreadnought with the same guns...I didn't even take development perks to upgrade them at the time.

Another thing is the Strike abilities. I've noticed that defence guns seem to have trouble shooting them down compared to normal missile attacks. In a normal missile attack, roughly half the missiles get shot down, in a strike however (Assuming you're only hitting one ship) only about a third of it gets shot down, strikes also usually have more missiles in general. So those concussion weapons are not as easy to defend against as we all thought.

In short, you never needed EMP, Gamma or Plasma to take down shields...just spam everything as much as you can and every fleet you fight will melt away surprisingly quickly.

Yeah uh...I have 2000+ hours under my belt... ^_^;

And i thought my 230 Hours in this game were already excessive considering what a small game it is.
