Speedrun attempts
Anyone tried to speedrun this game much as of yet? I finished this game pretty quickly in under a week (with a little, but not significant guide help - most of the help ended up being not relevant for the ending I got anyway), and it could have been even sooner if I had figured out a certain mine puzzle earlier than I did.
Since this game is all about time acceleration and mitigation, it's a deep mechanics set for potential speedrunning tactics, albeit very different ones from the average game! I believe several of the endings are doable in under 24 hours, maybe even 12. What have been the results of any of your attempts so far? I might make an attempt myself soon enough, though I have no way of recording it so it would purely be for my own achievement in my case.

I'm doing my slowrun attempt. These days everything just wanted to be rushed so I take the challenge to play it for actual 400 days.

Well, you could end that game "fairly" fast I guess.

Get the mattock, get up there, grow mushroom, commit suicide
I also ended up having 2 small bugs during play. One was that I was able to walk not on the expected path and ended up walking in the air. Second one was that I had light without having a pink shroom in my hand. If this can happen, a glitch speedrun could be possible

One speedrun 'tech' I did think of was about the books - switching page automatically causes a minute to go by right? So the first Zarathusa book could skip most of the two-hour door wait with 120 pages, and the two-day spider wait should be almost entirely skippable with the power of Moby ♥♥♥♥'s over 1000 pages if my math is right. Not enough pages left over to skip the mushroom wait though, so a brief stop at the Halls of Eternity may need to be risked in order to get additional books. Also, a macro may be needed to avoid giving yourself an RSI from switching pages rapidly.

I would say that you could still eat all the pink shroom on the way except 1 to dream and pass a couple of hours.

Wouldn't be efficient enough for the mushroom wait though, you'd still need to go to the Eternity Halls to find books to cover the remaining hours anyway.

speedrunning this would be the least fun thing, clicking to read books... even for an any% would suck, nevermind a legit ending.

TAS? for who? That's unwatchable. The point is to play and make the choice.

You can skip a lot of time by playing the instrument

I've calculated you need to play the instrument 57600 times to skip 400 days. (not taking in account other measures to kill time).

It's possible, but who wants to do that?

Do you guys think it is possible to escape within 3 days by scaling time just by drawing pictures, reading books and idling in the servant's quarters?
