It's perfectly OK if you don't like the slow speed though, I'm aware that this game is a bit extreme.
Like Anselm said: Double click is one way to make the character walk. Or you use "Random walk" and see where he ends up. Slowness is the whole point though.
Later on you'll use bookmarks for places you want to revisit and send the Shade there.
don't get me wrong, I love me some idle games (NGU anybody?), but I would love to see an option to walk faster here. In almost every idler there is some kind of progression system that lets you do things way faster the longer you play - that would be nice here too, but the devs surely knew what they are doing :P
A mix between ADVENTURE- and idle game. This is definitely an anti-action game ;)
There are classic idle elements, for example collecting and reading books, which speed up the timer. But there is no way to walk faster.
Thanks for your helpful comment.
Maybe I'm sick of people making pointless remarks?
While I like the concept, the walking is a bit too slow.
If I am blocked by the timed-paths anyway, just let me explore the caves that I can and leave the game until the event happens.
Think I'll go buy a rogue-like and go to their forums and complain that I don't like having to start over all the time..
Rogue-likes is a genre with multiple features
Moving Slow is not a genre - Idle games are a genre. Also you can't properly idle this game while moving, sometimes the character stops, and he does not pick up resources by himself, so I have to be here and monitor the game.
And you can Idle this game in many ways other than moving around - reading, drawing, relaxing. Also your paths are blocked so if you moving slow or faster, still forces you to wait a big amount of time.
You can always walk back home, by clicking the crown. He will not go there randomly, because he already knows the place too well.
