Bigger window?/No Players?

Game is stuck taking up half of my screen, I want it larger, or at least centered.

Also only had seen two others online, is this game dead now?
Is there other unoffical servers I should try instead?

And on the topic of other servers, do they have new stuff that this version doesn't that makes it worth playing?

There are a few unofficial servers since the game is open source. Google Meridian 59 server 105 or server 103.

As for the window, I play with it in half my screen, with chrome or Google docs on the right. It's not a full screen game unless someone has a way to do that.

Server 101 has waves of activity here and there. Give it a try and check out the two guides I wrote on the community section for help getting started.

it definitely was a full screen game back when 4:3 was the default resolution.

I don't know if this actualyl can be fixed, but this is my primary screen with the game running, and the fact I can't even freely move it around is ... jarring

Yeah thats oddly how this client is. I believe if you play on the unofficial servers with the Ogre Client, some of that is adjustable. I'd love to see client updates to adjust to widescreens.

You can move the window whether your screen is 4:3 or 16:9. Minimize the window, then resize it by hovering your cursor over the top part of the screen. The game will only take up at most 1/2 your screen on a 16:9 display, but you can move the window around freely from there without it snapping to the center. Feel free to message me here if you need additional help with this.

As for population, a whole slew of events are going on this summer on 101 and 102, the population spiked on 102 earlier tonight during an invasion and a raising of the Lich Queen, the strongest monster in the game. Be sure to check the Newsglobes when you log in to see what kind of events are going on. There'll be a post on here shortly with more details as well. For the official servers, 101 and 102 both have people on during prime hours. Come join and help rebuild the servers!

yeah I've moved on to Ogre Client. 2560x1080 just makes that necessary.

Not sure why a game with this kind of population needs that many servers though.

We hope to have a full-screen client for Meridian 59 someday soon to help with modern display issues. I personally run it the same way as you, and have my Graphics Window smaller so I can focus on the chat window, with the game centered in the middle.
