Beta patch v1.4 - Spiral Corridor 7-5 bug fix
Hi all,

During the boss stage of Spiral Corridor 7-5 there was a progression blocking bug where, if the game was played on hard difficulty with an unlocked framerate, it became impossible to complete as the blocks fell quicker than the player could climb.

We have fixed this bug and rolled the patch to the beta branch. If you would like to opt into this fix, please do the following:

From Catherine in your Steam library, right click and go to Properties. Navigate to the BETAS tab and enter the beta access code:

From the drop down menu, select Public Patch Test.

If you are not experiencing this bug, we recommend not opting into the beta branch.

it's fixed now but the timing for some of the blocks in the earlier stage is still somewhat off.

Loading times are much slower, and there seems to be some choppiness and frame rate drops between scene transitions or level transitions.

Now, I wasn't affected by the Shadow of Vincent bug, I did download this patch to see what had changed from 1.3. It's looking better, but there are still some glaring issues.

The Drink item in story and competitive play has been fixed to the full duration (at least at 60fps; THANK YOU)

Fast falling blocks still occur

Monster blocks being unkillable in very rare situations still occur (the same used to happen to mystery blocks in 1.3 but I haven't encountered that yet)

There is still a 10% movement speed increase at 60FPS compared to 30FPS

And as DirtyDoodler had said, the loading times are much slower. While doing a speedrun of the easy story mode, I had steadily lost time throughout the run. Mistakes do happen throughout, but at points there weren't enough mistakes to justify 10+ second time losses besides loading times. And with a 10% movement increase, that really shouldn't happen. The time was being compared to the day one build of the game.

The Spiral Corridor 7-5 bug happened to me today in normal difficulty / high framerate ( 144FPS/144hz ). Thankfully this beta patch fixed it. Thank you The Eccentric Ape. :cleanseal:
