This really nice looking game doesn't use Vsnyc, causing tearing. Any way to enable it?

The rats are just following me everywhere and won't leave even when I have the cub in my mouth. If I set the cub down to try to do ANY puzzling solving or carry another object, they immediately start attacking the cub. I tried alternating back and forth between the cub and object, but that is really really not enjoyable. Just tedious, especially with the animation to pick up and put down being so long. I tried using the attack button, but the rats just scurry away and come right back. I'm really not sure ...
