the better, 2k wants nothing but money?
Aussiedroid, prices are set to reflect local retail expectations. It sucks (I never buy games retail any more anyway, so WTF) but it's about 'protecting the local economy' or some such. My understanding is that it's an international legal requirement for online purchasing of any type to encourage people to buy local. Even if you can't get whatever it is you want locally. In that case, some online retailers simply won't sell it to you at all. Get some friends in the US and work out a deal.
Also when going AI attacks me and loses they no longer offer half of their cities in return. And they also understand when they have basically lost the war.
Trading is much more interesting now. AI isn't as greedy as it used to be. Sometimes their demands were just insane. And now they also offer world congress resolutions as trade offers and even ask for them.
The AI no longer expands in a stupid fashion to areas and spaces that are worthless and bankrupting their civilization in the progress.
The game is much more interesting now even at lower difficulties. I no longer need to allow AI to blatantly cheat and get massive handicaps for them to offer any kind of challenge.
This patch basically made this a whole new game. Almost like it would be a Brave new Game...
