CIV5 mods: Civilizations
Hello everybody. I've only recently started using mods, and have added around 40. I have added many mods that are new civilizations. I'm having a problem with these mods. Before the problem, let me say they are in game and partially working... When viewing my mods in mod window, they are visible; and when playing in game I do encounter these mod civilizations. Here is my problem: When entering the game through the mod window, then to the new game set up window, in the choose civilzation window, there is no vertical scroll bar. So, only 4 civilizations, the first of which is random, are visible and available. Page up/down nor arrow up/down have any affect. Is there a known mod causing this problem? Or a setting I'm missing? Thanks a lot if you read my post, and especially if you responded.

One or more of your mods is bugged: it doesn't have two valid uniques. Try going to 'advanced' options, choose a modded civ from the list, then go back to the usual selection screen. If that mod has only one displayed unique, you know that's the one causing it. Check that mod for updates.

Morning Davey. Thanks for your reply. I understand and can follow your steps, but I'm afraid I don't know what you mean by uniques, either one or two. In the advanced menu, which I didn't think of, I am able to see all civilizations in the drop down menu and select them. So far, after selecting each then going 'back' there is still no vertical scroll bar. Sure do appreciate you taking the time.

What I mean by uniques are the unique unit/building/improvements of a civilization. For example, England has Ship of the Line and the Longbowman. If a modded civilization has either only one unique unit/building/improvement assigned to it or one of the two assigned unique unit/building/improvement is malfunctioning, your problem occurs. You try to choose a civilization but you can't scroll down. The modder probably added some kind of tag or character the game deemed invalid (or didn't assign 2 unique units/buildings/improvements). You need to identify the mod(s) without two valid unique units/buildings/improvements and disable it/them.

Thanks much for your new reply and help! Okay, got it now, and there are actually several that do not have 2 uniques and/or are broken. Guess I will have to live with using the advanced window, which is fine, and I didn't know to do that before your reply! :)
