You basically have to wait on Firaxis to patch the game. Meanwhile, you should keep your Mac on 10.14 or earlier if you still want to play Civ V.
Tweet to @Firaxis and let them now that this update is needed
Please contact Aspyr support to get more info and/or a resolution.
You can find them here: https://support.aspyr.com
"The Steam version of Civilization V will be receiving a 64-bit update. However, at this time we do not have an ETA for when the update will be available."
Given that the App store version is 64 bit and has been for over 5 months, I doubt they are in any hurry to update the Steam version.
Yesterday, I noticed my MacBook Pro wants a software update which was 'macOS Catalina' (version 10.15). So I let her update herself.
I shouldn't do that. Now I can't play this game.
And I'm eager to play this game right now.
I saw a pinned thread "New Launcher Technical Issues" http://store.steampowered.com
But well, it couldn't help me. After beta access, I still can't play this game.
It says the developer should update this app to use this app at this version's macOS. So should I have to get in touch with the developer? No, I'll just sit tight and wait until developers are doing well.
How long should I have to wait? Does anyone who are struggling with this problem?
