What does city ruins do?
Does anyone know what you can do with it?

From what I've read, they're just the remains of razed cities. Either remove them, build a Worker/Great Person improvement on them, or (if playing BNW) get an Archaeologist to make a Dig Site on them.

i've read #3 as well. However, when my archaeologist gets there he doesn't have the make dig site option.

I think when you discover archaology and if you finish the exploration social tree some of them turn into archaology sites, if they stay as a city ruins and dont turn into a archaology site they are useless. I think thats how they work.

Cant do anything with them. Its kinad just a signal to people who eventually discover you that ehy someone wrecked ♥♥♥♥ here. It counts as a road which is nice
