Experience limit?
My units will receive a couple of promotions and then the experience freezes at 30 out of 60 (whichever level that is)...is it supposed to stop there?

You can only get a limited amount of experience from barbarians. So if you're just fighting barbarians and not other civs or city states, your units can only level up so much (unless you use a mod that removes that limit, of course).

There is no practical limit. At level 15 about the unit may run out of promotions. Level 5 to 7 is really nice, then it has acqured upgrades like Blitz and Logistics

You can earn up to 2 promotions from experience from killing Barbarians. After that, you will need to earn it from combat. I believe there is an unlimited Barbarian XP mod so you can keep farming XP from Barbs.

And I thought I was accomplished with a Level 3 Scout.

Far out.... They clearly never expected that, the pane doesn't fit the promotions! That pane needs work in general anyway.

Yeah, that mod's fun for making training camps. Cost quite a bit of time making one, though.
