Clearing ALL map ICONS.
So I wanted to remove all icons from map, like able to in IV if I remember correctly. I effectively removed the Grid lines, and the Resource icons, but the City names are still in the way. As well, tile info when cursor hovers, keeps popping up.
Is it possible to removes these aswell from the view screan?? I know graphics arent that great in good, but I'd like to be able to see the game world in a Raw view sometimes, as they let you in Civ IV.

So is there anyway I haven't found, someone can share with me, that I clear the screen of all the icons, signs, etc; including those of city names, and info tags.

And yes... I've looked everywhere I could think in the Options selection in Menu, and no nothing mentioned in the Civilopedia.

I'm not sure how far you want to take it but...

g = turn on and off the grid lines.
y = toggle on and yield markers (how much gold, production, etc.).
ctrl+r = toggle on and off resources (sheep, etc.)

If that's all you were looking for then it should work. If it's things like the tags for city names, border lines and such - no idea on how to get that far afield.
Yea... now I was looking for the City name tags... so it looks like its not here... it'd be nice if so though. Imagine the clarity of some of the screan shots if you could clear all info from the map, just looking at game in it's rawest form, for scenery purposes...

It'd be cool, especially with the screanshot feature, sharing the pics online.

Thx again though, I will remember that when it's needed.
