Kinda. You can choose to discover several well known religions. Or name a custom religion. You get to choose different "perks" for it though as you gain faith. Its not similar to religion in Civ IV

From what I have read, you will get religion by only buying BNW. You'll only miss the civilisations included in G&K.

You don't have to buy Gods and Kings to get religion if you have Brave New World. If you buy Brave New World then you get both espionage and religion but you don't get the extra civilizations that come with Gods and Kings nor do you get the scenarios.

Aye. I just read through a bunch of threads and you dont need to buy gods and kings. Previous posters are correct. Sorry totally misread your post. Also, I bought BNW and completed a playthrough with it after holding off buying CIV 5 since launch and loved it. Let us know if you do buy it. Enjoy!

No Problem! This is great news im gonna buy the game, get good at it, persuade my friend into buying and crush him ( he beat me last time and was REAL smug about it). and by the way i understand why you misread my post it wasn't very well written could have added some more info i just wanted to be quick so i could check if i were gonna buy it or not, and thanks again appriciate it! :tradingcard:
So BNW gets you religion? Ugh...... that just makes G&K so not worth it....

lol

BNW is about trade. Not religion, it just allows the continuation of what G&K added.

Do you think they should just delete G&K now and only sell BNW?
lol.

they definitely should, gods and kings sucked so hard. nothing EVER dies in it, the original was so much better.

whats bad with gods and kings it only adds religion

Do NOT buy the single G&K-DLC in any case!
I highly recommend to buy the gold edition upgrade instead. For 10 Euro you get G&K and all other DLC except BNW. That's a third the price of G&K alone, for much more content.

Especially i you want to play multiplayer, you should have all DLC available.

Im gonna wait for a sale to buy the gold edition, but right now im freaking terrible at the game...
