Black screen fix.

For thoes who are recieving a black windowed screen after clicking your choice of Directx 9 or 11, try this:

Go to My Documents/ My Games/ and here you should find a folder called "Sid Meier's Civilization 5", grab that folder and move it somewhere else (I moved mine to my desktop for the time being). That fixed my problem atleast, let me know how it works for yall.

Are you running a PC or a Mac?

Having the same issue, after logos it goes black but i can hear the music in the background.
Tried above and did not fix it, someone mentioned it was an anti-alising issue?

Doesn't help me. This started after this mornings update. Can't get it to run at all.

I got mine working finally. After standard OS updates and such, and a reboot, it just worked. In another forum, it seems like someone mentioned restarting the Steam client after it updates (or just make it easy and reboot completely).
