How to skip start-up logos (NOT the intro movie)

Hi there,

Is there any way to skip (or mute) the company logos at start-up? I find them highly annoying, especially the Firaxis one

Click the Ignore Logos & Commercials checkbox in the 6th tab of options.

You should be able to go to the setting menu at the start of the game and turn off those intros.

You can only disable the intro from there.

I usually do this with most games, but I can't find the logo files for Civ 5

there is another disscusion somewhere that i used to find the logo files and remove intro, possibly in guides(in fact i do think it is). A bit of searching and you should find it, thats how i changed mine before BNW to remove all including DX set up and logos.

Deleting all intro movie files from locations below worked for me, no 2K or Firaxis logo at startup anymore.

Nice one, that does seem to do the trick :). And saves almost 1GB in the process - neat.

in this folder i see about a dozen dlls (better not touch those i guess), quite a bunch of readme pdfs, and 5x 'Opening_Movie.wmv' each one 94.5mb (in 5 languages). i'm guessing those wmvs are the ones to delete/rename.

here there's one Opening_Movie.wmv which is 114.4mb and 6x .wma @ 7.7mb each.

same here, one Opening_Movie.wmv @ 84.4mb and 6x .wma @ 2.9mb each.

being paranoid of breaking anything permanently, i simply appended ".old" to the file extensions. and yep it works.
