Sid Meier's Civilization V

Sid Meier's Civilization V

It randomly crashes after installing a brave new world
Anyone got any advice? The game just crashes after 5-20 minutes of gameplay. The only message is that Civilisation 5 has stopped working. Ive checked the integrity of the game cache three times and uninstalled all steam workshop mods, and no luck. I've also updated my video card drivers. My machine has an AMD radeon hd 6780 and an ATI phenom 2. Any help would really be appreciated, Thanks

Same problem for me too, I turned autosave to each turn and its not to big of a deal now but would be nice if they would fix it.

I found a fix for my BNW crashing problem. Mid-game crashes that sometimes throw a GFXRenderer error. They usually occur when the leader screens show up.
I fixed it by unchecking "GPU Texture Decode" in the graphics settings.
That is my thread on the issue:

Same problems here. Win 7-64 bits ATI HD 6870 (no overclock). Now I´m installing again the video drivers after deinstalling them completely. There is a beta version on AMD site. I hope that t works...

people try this(windows 7):
1. go to control panel
2.appearance
3.display
4.then on the left side. click on change color scheme
5.choose windows 7 basic
6.then apply
7.play the game choose your last saved game that stopped working
8.then it will load but there is a window that says error just ignore and dont exit it or press ok. just move that by moving the window or press the window button and go back to civ 5

For the start-up crash issue, try verifying the Civ V game cache. Fixed it for me:
