Civilisation 5 gold edition upgrade?

I own just the base game of Civ 5 and was out to buy gods and kings (but it's 50 dollars here in australia) and i saw the option that said ''buy sid meiers civ V: gold edition upgrade". What is this? is it just gold edition minus the base game or is it just the minor dlc. Because i really don't want to spend so much on gods and kings.

OH I just looked at the site they are out of stock for the Gold edition, But still have 10 G&K's You wont regret upgrading to G&K the game is around 85% better in my opinion still figuring out religion..

same question here, i own Civ5 goty, though.. so, what will this upgrade do? will it make my goty game into a gold edition game, ie adding gods and kings and such?

I dont no what the goty has included but i wouldnt get the gold edition just get G&k I think the goty had all the maps and stuff

ok, i risked it and bought this upgrade (only 2,50€ now, so it was worth the try) - it did add gods&kings, and those minor packs i didn't have yet, into my game library. downloading and installing them now. YEAH! (;

hmm where do you see upgrade option ? all i cant see is the compleet gold edition :S

Not sure what your aking if you go to gold esition in the staem store it will show what it includes that normaly you would have to buy individualy. Right now is the time to buy...

I just bought the two things i didnt have that will make my game the gold edition. I wish i would have known about this yesterday. But I did use the site i listed above in all to get to gold I paid 11$ not to bad

hm, small correction - "Wonders of the Ancient World Scenario Pack" is still not added but it might be only a matter of time.. i hope so, at least..

edit: all is good, it is listed within my dlcs

hmmm well it is listed under the gold edtion so im guessing it must be some kida bug.

and thanks for the info i was pretty sure it did that but was not wanting to try it myself.

The Goty edition only had 4 dlcs in it

Hmm i thought it had them all well I bought them seperatly anyways. in all I have everything and i spent around 17$ i bought the actual civ v vanallia years ago and just started playing it a month ago..

I was confused about this as well. I wasn't sure if it would just get me everything in the gold edition minus the base game. I'm still not sure.

I believe (if you look at the 'costs' that the Upgrade to Gold pack is for the Base Game. But, I'm sure it'll upgrade the GotY Edition too. Basically as long as you have the base Civ V game you'll upgrade it to the Gold Edition.
